This embroidered belt is handmade by women's cooperatives in rural areas of Peru. All of the work is done fairly and the artisans are paid a living wage. Most of the artisans sew in their homes or at a communal studio workshop. Each belt is a one-of-a-kind work of beautiful craftsmanship using a contemporary take on traditional Andean techniques.
